MCAT Bio Question

Hey guys, I am a friend of Vandyfootball, who is using his account to ask a question.

I am studying for the MCATs this summer and I am currently enrolled in a kaplan prep Class. I used my AP credit for Bio, and I took AP Bio my senior year in high school. In AP Bio we never covered any of the human body systems such as reproduction, endocrine, respiratory systems. So I have never studied any of that material. Looking at my Kaplan Bio book, roughly 9 out of 16 chapters are devoted to these human body systems.

I was wondering if I would be okay for the MCAT Bio if I just rely on the Kaplan Bio book. Should I buy other books to study these bio systems, since the Kaplan Bio books don’t go into much detail on these systems?

^^ I am in a similar situation too dude. My intro bio class covered A LOT of genetics and we never covered any of the human body systems. If any of the posters have any input on this matter, you could help out 2 pre-meds!

you should be fine with just the kaplan book. i used princeton review, and it was enough. dont know how princeton’s bio compares to kaplan though.

^^^ Did your bio class cover these topics though?

not in detail
