What materials do you guys recommend for MCAT prep? I’m currently a second semester Freshman and have started working on the VR section a little. I’ve been working Exam Krackers, and I heard they’re good, but what do you guys recommend?

I recommend taking a Kaplan MCAT prep course during the summer. If you can allocate the entire summer to the course and are truly willing to work through piles and piles of paperwork that Kaplan provides, I think it can really boost your score.

I too took the MCAT during the summer of my freshman year (program requirement) and ended up doing very well despite starting with a baseline score of 23.

My roommate used Exam Krackers exclusively and scored just one point under so that is a very good and much cheaper option as well. (Again, as long as you can force yourself to stick to a schedule. I’m closer to the lazy bum type so I needed an actual class to force me to finish the work and wake up early for full length practice exams)
