McCombs Attire

I’m definitely a hot mess in packing up and stuff. And long story short is that I’m taking a plane down to Austin so my space for stuff is really limited. I have a suit, but it definitely is pretty big and won’t fit. I already gave one of friends a fairly large amount of things to stick in her parents’ car, so I don’t want to keep imposing.

So, I was wondering for the first few months, will I need a full-on suit for anything with McCombs as a freshman? I’ll probably won’t be back home until after that amount of time.

Thanks!

Just leave the suit jacket and bring the rest. You can always borrow a suit jacket from a friend, you’re probably not all going to need them at the same time.

As a first semester freshman I only wore it when going to formals and such, but plenty of people went without jackets. And when rushing a business fraternity, where it really is needed, but again just borrow.

Second semester I wore business casual most of the time and never needed the jacket. You will need it for part of B A 101 whenever you take that. Again, borrowing would be fine.

I would highly recommend figuring out how to get one down here in a future year though, it’s kinda a necessity for any man (B school or not) to have at least one good suit.

There is a career fair early in the semester but I don’t think you would need to attend it as freshman. Other than that, I doubt any freshman level classes will require you to wear a suit jacket for a presentation.
