McCombs School Of Business Calculus dilemma

How can we know what community colleges credits are fully accepted if you take Calculus out of UT? My son will be a freshman this fall and we are still waiting for his AP Tests results. He took AP/BC Calculus on his HS Senior year. Depending on his results, we are trying to decide what is the best thing to do in order to get thru this Calculus issue!

Thank you in advance!

Here is the Texas Common Course Numbering System for UT. Looks like your son needs 408K Differntial Calculus (Math 2413) and 408L Integral Calculus (math 2414).

If the link does not take to directly to the University of Texas, use the “search by school” function, find University of Texas, then select the “find courses” button. It will bring up all of the UT courses that have a common course number with the state of TX.

The only caveat would be that even though there is a common course number for a class, some universities require certain courses to be taken at the university. It does not appear that these calculus classes would fall under that criteria but always check with an advisor to make sure, when the class is not part of the University Core Curriculum, or what we used to call, “the basics” of English, History, Government etc.
