My % was above 90 for all grades

Do y’all know if applying for major undergraduate scholarship delays decisions? I applied all the way back in September. I doubt it’s because my grades don’t meet the minimum or anything since those are quite strong for Faculty of Arts (my top choice). I’m an international student from India.

SAT: 1550, ACT: 35, IB Predicted: 42/42, GPA: 3.99UW, SAT II: 800 + 760

@ts2807 Does the portal ask for anything? Mid year grades?

Nope! They haven’t asked for anything. It’s been “Ready for Review” since October

@ts2807 Call admissions. Did you send in mid year grades?

No, because I wasn’t asked for them - Should I?

@ts2807 I would call admissions. They are incredibly helpful and can tell you what you need to do. Good luck!

@FirstCollegeDad Hi what were his AS grades and A level predicted? Or did he study in a different system

Faculty of arts
Interfaculty Arts and Science
ACT: 32
GPA: 3.86 UW

At the bottom, I am asked for proof of high school graduation as well as AP exam results
is this usual?

Can my admission be rescinded if I do not get 4 or 5 on my AP tests in May? This would be after the deadline for the deposit…

@ss302001 He did not proceed with A levels since he chose to target Canada rather than the UK, and yes he was studying in different systems untill he decided to continue with SAT and drop the A levels

@proxy123 Yes this is the same for my son as well. Just to make sure the applicant take the rest of the HS seriously and doesn’t drop his scores significantly

@Proxy123 - Congratulations on your acceptance! I don’t believe McGill rescinds based on AP scores. Most students who score 4s and 5s submit them in order to enter McGill as a U1 (sophomore) student. This can be helpful in terms of giving you preferential registration (you get to register before U0. Many students opt to still stay 4 years, and use the extra credits to either lighten their load, or add a double major or minor.

hi! my application status changed to reviewed- decision pending for the faculty of science and interfaculty arts sciences. do you know how long it will take for them to make a decision??

@pastalover10 Are they asking for more information?

@TomSrOfBoston nope

Faculty of Arts - Admitted Pending Final Results
Faculty of Science - Reviewed, Decision Pending

Stats:
US High School (Dual Canadian Citizen)
790 Math SAT, 730 EBRW, 760 Math II, 670 US History, 640 Chem
4.0 UW with 9 AP’s, 5’s on 5 tests, a 4, and a 3

I’m assuming “Reviewed, Decision Pending” means that I wasn’t good enough to simply get admitted first-round, but if there is space still available in the future after the truly amazing applicants go through, I could still be offered admission. Can anyone confirm this? Thank you.
