wow, how will you register for courses if you don’t know what credits you have?

which HL’s did you take? I thought it was possible to get from 24-30 credits, so how do you get all 30 credits? By the time we register for courses, they should have notified of our transfer credits.

hmm, but we’re not exempt from anything.
Which, acccording to the booklet, means we still have to take 200 level courses in order to take 300s.
Basically all that happens is that we lose our electives.

Well I’ve got no clue what you guys are talking about, but I’m likewise with AP’s, do I have to contact some1 regarding this, or will they send me the possible credits earned when they get the transcript from collegeboard?

check your application. it should say when they recieve the transcript, and I assume they tell you about credits afterwards.

Yes, it won’t make much of a difference for our core courses (for management at least) unless you’ve taken an Economics exam or something but by losing your electives you effectually get placed into second year anyway. Although you still have to take certain first year or second year courses, it is now possible to finish your degree in three years as opposed to four. I’m actually kind of scared about going into second year straight away.

Hi. I’m an incoming undergraduate student from the U.S. going into the Faculty of the Arts. Does anyone know how tuition payment works ie. when, how much, etc. I know Residence is monthly payments but I don’t know about tuition. Also, when will it be possible to register for courses?

I think for almost everything you get a monthly statement and you pay that way. I have a feeling that things like registration fees and services and stuff is a one time payment kind of thing.

i think tuition is per semester and room and board is a monthly payment. since we deposited $1000 for board and $200 for tuition, does that mean we’re paying less for the 1st month?

nycstudent registration for courses starts on 2nd aug for u1 and 4th aug for for u0 students.

i also hope $1000 is used in the first month of rez!!! or they might keep it like a deposit and pay it back when we leave rez… i hate that!!

I read the fees/rates book and apparently both our deposits for tuition and rent go into our bill, meaning it’ll cover our first month rent, only if you end up not going you’ve just lost those deposits.
