I thought it would be nice (and maybe helpful) to have a list of people who are absolutely decided on attending McGill.

I’m still trying to be in the class of 2009! I’m currently waitlisted. May I ask you guys what your stats are? I’m trying to figure out why I was waitlisted and not accepted.

1460
760/690/630
4.4 w
sports, music, clubs
white, public HS, USA

If you applied to Arts&Sci, that’s the reason right there that you were waitlisted. That program was incredibily competitive.

And is anyone here interested in having some sort of CC party before the start of school, but maybe after frosh?

Hey, figured I would say officially that I’m also going to be part of the class of 2009.

We should make an attempt to meet eachother. It would be a nice way to get started with school.

We should definately have a CC party so that we can finally see who we’ve been talking to and sharing our problems and opinions with all these weeks or months! Move in day is August 23rd! I guess frosh week is that week as well. Congrats to all of you again!

sounds like a party!!! wait can we move in earlier if we get there earlier?? i mean i’m obviously not gonna be heading out of pennsylvania the day of move in, i’ll be arriving earlier. where am i suppose to store my stuff??

I think if you want to move in to your rez early you can call and ask them, and that’d be OK most of the time. I’m not sure though…your best bet if you’re coming up with a parent or whatnot, is to get a hotel room and stash your stuff in there until you can move in :)

I’ll be up around frosh week, I’m volunteering for Discover Montreal, the first event of frosh. So yes.

I was having that dilemma too. You can also move in on August 24th too though. I think we’re just going to get a hotel and stash the stuff there like harpgirl suggested.

im def going… bcomm…

when r we gona decide for residnce? or theyre just going to assign it or wht?

how many of u are going for bcomm

residence forms should be available shortly and you submit them via Minerva before sometime mid june  Scholarship students get priority status, and then after they’ve all been placed, the others are placed in an order gotten from a random lottery process. It’s kind of confusing…but you turn in a long list of residences that you rank, and then your application is placed in the lottery…say you were #100. After reviewing 99 other regular applicants, they’d come to yours, and look at your list. If the place you marked as your first choice was full, they’d look at your second, then your third, whatever, until they came to one that wasn’t full.

Make sense?

yeah makes sense… so the place im gonna spend next 4 years is gona be decided by a lottery… hmm
