as i compare Univ of Toronto ECE 1st year engineering curriculum with McGill’s , i found that U of T students take Discrete Mathematics in their 1st year of study…as well as more programming courses…and in the fall term they are taking SIX courses(no humanity or unrelated courses) while McGill in contrast requires humanity for engineering and has no discrete mathematics in the curriculum. I conclude that U of T seems to give an early start in Engineering education (more focused more intense and fast paced) …

Will that diff in curriculum put McGill Engineer at a disadvantage in terms of engineering education and future career and grad school placement??
