I am planning on getting my PhD in Linguistics. So, about nine years of college. (I am still in high school…just trying to plan things out ) I am sure McGill has great graduate program but I just haven’t heard much discussion on here. It is mostly just discussing undergrad.

So, good idea? Anyone done graduate’s there? Any suggestions or input?

McGill has a pretty solid linguistics department, and also really good research (and consequently, grad programs) in general.

Their department claims to focus on “theoretical and experimental” aspects of linguistics, and they also seem to be quite well-known for their work in psycho- and neurolinguistics. Personally, I want to study computational linguistics, which is a subject they don’t really offer, so I’ll have to go to the US for grad.
