McGraw Hill Sat

How good are there practice tests? They get a lot of slack but are they decent enough to take a shot at.

Use the McGraw Hill practice tests as a giant clump of practice questions. The problem with the tests is not that the questions are poorly written. It’s that the tests themselves (as is the case for all the non College Board review books) are messed up as far as timing and difficulty go. Some reading sections are insane and there is now way you can expect to finish them in 25 minutes. Some math sections have way too many difficult questions early on. Some math sections have way too few difficult questions at the end.

The questions in the practice tests are actually fairly representative of what you will see on the real test - just don’t focus on doing them as timed testing exercises. Also do not worry about the score conversion chart - it’s all meaningless as far as your actual score is concerned.

Use the questions as an opportunity to see what you know and what you don’t know and then try to learn from the things you don’t know.

Good luck!
