McGraw Hill's 1st Practice Test-Reading

So I just did a practice Reading section in the first practice test in the McGraw Hill’s Ten Practice ACT tests.

I got 10 questions wrong so 30/40…HOWEVER, I got 8 wrong in the humanities passage!!!

Is it just for me or everyone else that they thought that passage was complete gibberish and they didn’t understand a word of it??

And could a similar type of passage be on the real ACT test?

Thanks

Mcgraw Hill’s practice test are way too easy.
Try using the practice tests from the red book.

I don’t like Mcgraw Hill’s book. A lot of the questions are ambiguous or the answers aren’t really good; overall the quality of the tests is lower. Also they occasionally get the answers just plain wrong, so when you are reviewing what you got right and wrong, look over it carefully.

I suggest trying out Princeton review’s ACT practice book. It seemed to help me a lot.
