<p>My son was nominated to apply to the McKelvy Scholars Program. I have two questions:</p>

<li> I’ve read the information on the Lafayette website. How much of an honor is this program?<br></li>
<li> He plans to go abroad for one semester next year. Will this disqualify him?</li>

<p>My daughter has been at McKelvy for three years. It has been a wonderful community for her. She did also spend semester abroad. You must be nominated by a professor and then be interviewed by house members. There is also a GPA requirement.The Sunday evening discussions are usually very good. They are required for house residents.</p>
