<p>okay maybe not I’d call and ask politely what their policy is. Perhaps state that you read on the website that SAT scores were only considered for applicants in the even that GPA was borderline. If they confirm that and say that that indeed is their policy, then raise the issue of the conversation you had. It could be that that person was in error. Or, they could say "No, our policy is that US students must have SAT scores of…<em>inserts scores</em>. In which case you politely ask where this info is on the website and why it says otherwise on the international applicant section. </p>
