What is the best meal plan for a Freshman? NYU assigned a “default option” but then said we can change it if we want to. What do you suggest?
Get the minimum you’re allowed for your housing situation . The dorms with kitchens are allowed to pay for fewer meals (120) than the traditional dorm rooms which (for freshmen) is the basic “225” plan. There are so many places to eat near NYU and so much to do that a lot of students have to work hard not to waste/lose their swipes. My daughter enjoyed the dining dollars because she was able to go more grab and go kind of meals.
