Annual Rate $4,428 290 WildCat Points

It seems that the second plan is more convenient. Is there any requirement for students taking the second plan? Thanks!

I really don’t understand why the plans are the same price since the 2nd one is better in every way. However, both are far more expensive than a “normal” meal plan and seriously, no one needs Unlimited meals or 19 meals a week. Sounds like a waste of money to me.

I believe the difference is that the Wildcat 19 allows you to use your 19 meals anytime, so if you want to, say, double your breakfast one day, you can. The Premium Unlimited will not allow you to repeat a meal in the same period. Once you’ve swiped your card for lunch, you can’t go through the line again.

I suppose it depends on your eating habits?

Also, the unlimited plan can’t be used at the norris center or other non dining hall facilities, whereas the weekly 19 also has 225 wild points

it says unlimited has 290 wildpoints.

premature gray, its the other way around, weekly plans is one meal per meal period, unlimited is you can go in and out as many times as you want. you can’t use the weekly or unlimited at norris or cafes, but you can use the included points for that

i’m not sure but i think weekly might be able to do latenigte while unlimited can’t?

bver - thanks for the correction - I did have it backwards. Both plans can be used at residential dining facilities, so… why are they the same price when one is clearly superior?

Any current students know?

may i please direct you to the honorable facebook group:
http://northwestern.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2315579380</a>. It is titled nuCuisine is stealing from students. if you can’t see facebook groups, heres a nice little chart. http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pHJsggfQJW4RkLxj1-JmMcg</a></p>

if you haven’t figure it out yet, northwestern is a very expensive school

Both have points, so that is not the difference. Unlimited does not allow late nights but really, who cares?

Also, if you swipe twice during the same dining period with unlimited, it lets you through but alerts the cashier to a “double swipe,” and they don’t have to let you in. Depends on if they’re strict or not.

dfliesh: i thought one of the benefits was that they were supposed to allow you in. sigh the things we learn on the internet these days =)

Unlimited premium is unlimited + late nights.

You can’t double swipe cause then someone else could use your unlimited card to get free meals. I also don’t know why you would ever want to swipe twice, you go in, eat your lunch, and then leave.

mm thats true. they have signs that say that only the wildcard holder can use them. of course that has to stop all the imposters right? =D

but i think terms of double swiping, some people i know just run in before class and get a drink and an apple for breakfast then when they get out of class later they are still in the breakfast block and then actually eat breakfast. though i must say i really dont know many people who get up early enough for that

bver100: i did that almost every day this quarter. went in just when breakfast started at 7:45, off to class at 8:00 and back for a full breakfast at 9:00. not that i would be starving without the first “meal” but a somewhat full stomach helps concentrating on orgo so much easier.

also, 19/week does make sense compared to unlimited because you get a) more points and b) one more meal/week – since 20 means are served each week. that said, only get that many if you will eat every meal in the dining halls. otherwise you’re just wasting money.
