<p>mechanical is the biggest engineering department here (i think ~300 people in it), but it has by far the most amount of people trying to transfer into it. if you’re not sure if you can get into it because of the competition, definitely apply for EE and transfer from that to ME.</p>
<p>I applied for MexhE already. I don’t remember if there was an alternate major choice in the application, but if there was, I applied to EE for sure. Thanks for the info!</p>
