Med School/AP exams/Coll Apps?

<p>I’m a sophmore and I wanted to know what I should aim for on my SATs to get into a 7 year programme. </p>

<p>Also, I will be taking the Chem AP Exam in May and I was wondering if it was hard or not? How much should i study and from what books should I study from? I’m currently using the Barron’s book. But i havent taked the Chem AP course, I’m currently in Honors Chem, and I want to try and get a good score on the AP Chem exam so I wont have to take the course Senior Year. </p>

<p>Also, does being CPR certified/First Aid certified look good on college apps?</p>

<p>2200+ is always a safe number. </p>

<p>But to be honest, I think those accelerated programs are much more interested in things other than your tests scores, after a certain point. I’d try to do extracurriculars that demonstrate your interest in the medical profession, such as

[</em>]Shadowing a doctor
[<em>]Volunteering at a hospital
[</em>]Research / lab experience
[/ul]</p>

<p>Also, I think Barron’s is an excellent supplement to a non-AP chemistry class, since it goes in-depth on many subjects. I wouldn’t recommend taking the test if you haven’t taken the class, especially if your honors chem class was anything like mine, but my school isn’t exactly the most competitive…</p>
