Med school

how hard is it to get into ANY med school?

does choice of undergrad college matter as a factor in admittance?

how hard is it to get into med school compared to getting into ivies undergrad…

It’s very different - too different to compare. For example, while there is no such thing as a good SAT score (i.e. to the point where it can actually help you) in Ivy admissions, there probably is such a thing as a good MCAT score. EC’s matter more as learning and growth tools than as actual items on a checklist. GPAs are also more forgiving in med school (~3.6 BCPM is still competitive everywhere) than in Ivy admissions (my 3.8 was a liability). I found it much, much easier than undergrad admissions, but many people find it much, much harder, and everything in between.

There’s a thread on undergrads that was recently linked to.
