<p>How will college view a paid long term (1-2 years) part time internship with media company for a prospective Engineering major? It is a website related, but not in engineering aspect of it, more like writing / advertising. Even if it does not help with the admission, it is still a great source of income for a rising high school junior. Just want to know how it will be viewed. D could not get any engineering internships this summer.</p>
<p>I think anything that shows a work ethic is a positive, especially something with a long-term, commitment.</p>
