Back in 2004, curmudgeon wrote this post:
“The field of medical ethics as it is applied to the nascent but burgeoning bio-technologies seems to me to be an arena that an astute law student with a scientific/medical bent could really enjoy .With the social and legal issues presented you might find the work to be both exciting and meaningful which is not a bad combo. And with the future of tort reform being in the hands of Karl Rove, all Trial Lawyers, both for the Plaintiff and Defense will be driving school buses and throwing papers for a living by the time you graduate.”

-Can anyone elaborate on what such a lawyer does on a day-to-day basis, as well as what sorts of “projects” such a lawyer would engage in?
-What kind of skills are required for such a job?
-What kind of place would one work in?
-What kind of pay would one get?
-Is it dependent on workplace, and if so, what kinds of workplaces would provide what kinds of salaries?
-What kind of future is available in such a field?
-What path would one embark on in college to enter this field? (major, classes/skills, education level?)
-Any other bits of information that would be useful?
