Medical field chance grades (according to my parents)

Hello, I am new here on CollegeConfidential to get help because I am a High school student and that I also failed the English final exam and for my dad forcing me to retest to change my grades on my report cards or I have to retake the class even though the failed test gave my overall grades dropped to a B while all my classes are an A.
Please don’t call my parents an idiot…

Also, I wanted a job as a pharmacist, but do you have to get straight As to get into colleges for my selected career?

I am living in a stereotype, since I am an Asian…

One B in high school is NOT going to hurt your chances of getting into college AT ALL.

Yeah, tell my dad that. He tried to e-mail my teacher 3 times and they didn’t reply back and tried to e-mail my principal to let my teacher know. Also, my uncle tried retaking his class 3 times in the past until he can get an A. I also trusted my dad, too but I just don’t know who to trust. In fact, I am just all tied up right now…

Do you have a guidance counselor that perhaps could help explain things to your family?

How can your dad force your teacher to allow you to retake an exam? Like, can’t the teacher just say no? Won’t the teacher just say no? You didn’t mention any extenuating circumstances, you just said you did poorly.

For grad/professional school, it makes no difference what you get in high school. And no, you don’t need straight As for Pharmacy school. For a lot of kids its what they do if they can’t get into Medical school, though its still somewhat competitive. But not as much as Medical school admissions.
