Medical insurance for exchange students?

<p>A family friend is hoping to host an exchange student from Switzerland this summer. I know several people here have done this before - anyone know how medical insurance for this works? Is the child covered by insurance purchased in his/her home country?</p>

<p>Our student has medical and prescription coverage through her program. It is through a major insurer, maybe Aetna.</p>
