Medical Research Internship

Hello all,

This summer I will be doing a research internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. I will be working under a doctor who is also a professor at the Harvard Medical School. The research will be vascular/cardiac research.

My questions are:

1) Can this be considered a hook?
2) If I got a recommendation from the Harvard Med School doctor, would that be a big plus?
3) Do colleges like research positions from high school students?

I realize these questions may seem super obvious, but I just want a general idea about how much weight this internship will have on my resume (the link to which is posted below). I plan on applying to very competitive schools, so any help you guys have will be appreciated.

this can be a huge plus in your appl b/c research and your recs count for a lot, so definitely make a good relation w/ the professor for ur recj
