<p>This summer my son and another young man will be traveling across the country. They plan to stop in several of the national parks out west (far, far from home). Today a friend mentioned that you can inexpensively buy insurance that would give coverage if you have to be medivaced out of one of the parks. She said that she’d heard that in her state (CO) it was just a few dollars and that other states had similar plans but she had no idea where to direct me for more info. </p>
<p>So fellow CCers - have any of you heard of this? Any advice? </p>
<p>I don’t know if this makes a difference, but my son is 17 and his buddy is 18.
I’m already biting my nails over this trip, but finding adequate insuraqnce in case of the worst, is a good project for me!</p>
