Anyone out there interested in a meet up in Tally in August?

Since many of us will be getting our Noles settled in for fall semester, it would be a great opportunity to get together.

Anyone interested?

Anyone interested?

Could be interesting, but life generally gets complicated at these times. ;)

Sure, if the dates work out. D wants to arrive early and go through rush. I was hoping to be there for the freshman convocation. Maybe, since she will have been there this summer, I will let drive on up on the 18th, then come visit the 23-24th. (I’m here now for orientation!)

we wil be in tally from august 19-22. that would be great.

i think that’ll be awesome.
but i’ll already be in there, i start this summer.
=]

but we can still meet up.
can’t wait.

go seminoles.

Absolutely! I start in the Fall and I’m moving in on August 20th. We’ll figure something out!

Thanks to everyone who has given feedback on the meetup.

Anyone else out there interested in a meetup in Tally in August?

I’ll come, this sounds fun :)

I look forward to having a meet up in August with fellow CC board members! I enjoyed reading the posts about people trying to do some sleuthing and figure out who could be the person behind the handle -nickname!

just tell me a time and place and i’ll show up :]

bump!! looking forward to meeting up in august

Sounds fun, but may be tricky for me. D is already there for summer C and wants to be in Marching Chiefs. Early move in for fall I’ve heard is @Aug 13 for training.

D is there now for summer C and will return early for fall rush on 8/18. We will probably go up the weekend of 23/24 to see her fall room, take her out to eat a few times with a friend or two, take a trip to Walmart/Target for fall things that she did without for the 6 weeks of summer, and finally attend convocation. Anyone still left on the weekend, let me know and we can meet up for coffee or a meal!

gato1 - did you get the info pack from the Marching Chiefs? The early move in is 8pm Friday the 15th. My s is also going to audition for the percussion section. What does your daughter play?

Yes, we got the band informationa and sent in the postcard. D plays trumpet. Haven’t gotten any music yet for the prepared piece. Has your son gotten a prepared piece to practice yet?

No music yet. I (being the impatient person that I am) called to ask when the audition music would be posted. They said around August 1st. His favorite instrument is the quints (five little drums). Problem is that he doesn’t have a set to practice with. We’ll come up with something…he could cut out paper plates the size of the drums…tape them down on one of our folding tables and pretend they are the set of drums. LOL

Is anyone interested in a meetup on August 19th in Tally?

Dorms officially open and Seminole Sensation starts up on the 20th, so the evening of the 19th might be good before all the FSU excitement kicks in for the start of the fall semester.

Since my s can move into the dorm on the 15th, we’re only staying until Sunday the 17th. A friend of his is a sophomore and is going to take pictures for me at the convocation on Sunday the 24th. (I’m a scrapbooker…so I HAVE to have pictures.)

LOL, music is all about improv anyway, right? Thanks for the Aug 1st info. Darling D now is undecided about trying out for Chiefs. Oh life is such a drama. Good luck with the paper plates!

Yes the 19th looks good for us.
