I’d like to know how many of those people will actually be going to BU- it sounds like some of them have a very strong hook to get into top tier schools (read: Ivy). But yeah, that’s not me, although some of those achievements were definitely more impressive than others.

Heh, I think that’s me. My essay was about writing a novel a page a day when I was in middle school. That’s kind of awesome, actually. And I haven’t been published in the New York Times - I’d like to meet the person who was, that’s pretty cool - but I’ve been quoted in it.

I’m not sure if I’ll be going to BU - I’m certainly not going to get into any Ivies, but I have a few other schools I’m waiting on. Anyone else?

One student is the member of a professional dance company.

That may or may not be me. I mentioned my city’s ballet company as if it is professional, but it doesn’t tour or pay any money. It’s all high school students.

as for the professional dance company, i think BU’s referring to companies like joffrey or ABT, not city-sponsored/private dance companies. but that’s still pretty cool :)
