Meeting with professor for lab position?

I have an upcoming meeting with a professor where I suggested in the email that I would like to work for his lab. I wanted to know what professors usually ask during these situations? I had one friend tell me that they will ask you some technical questions to gauge your knowledge and a different friend say that they are really lowkey and just ask where you’d like to go and talk about their own research. What should I be expecting? I didn’t attach my CV or transcript to my email and he didn’t request one in his response, should I bring one or both anyways?

My plan tomorrow was to study a lot of his recent publications and to make sure I know information about anything I’m unsure of.

Good idea about looking at recent publications. It’s okay to have questions; you’ll be there to learn.

Bringing a resume and transcript might be a good idea. Do the resume, at least.
