So I’m riding a Megabus in a few days, and I have a suitcase, a small carry-on and a backpack, but according to the Megabus website, I can only take two of these? Does anyone have experience with this, is there anyway to get around the limit? Or do the drivers even care?

You can throw two things in the back and ride with your backpack on your lap. That’s what I’ve always done when taking the supershuttle (I imagine a similar service).

The first time I took the Megabus (December) I was stressing about it too. All the poor reviews got me worked up about the luggage, the time, the service, etc…It depends where you’re going and if it’s a popular route. Like if the bus is crowded sometimes they’re more picky about luggage…The route I took the bus was almost empty and they didn’t care about luggage…I even got there 5 minutes late, but I don’t advice that.

LOL. Oh God, Megabus brings back so many memories.

I got on Megabus at NYC twice and DC once and there were too many people for them to actually pay attention to who had what luggage. I think that my friend had a bag, a large suitcase and her laptop case with her and they didn’t say anything when she brought the two bags on the bus. If your small bag is like a purse or a laptop case I don’t think they’ll say anything about it. But if it’s a rollable suitcase…I’m not sure.

Yea, my other bag is like, one of those rollable carry-ons.

I wouldn’t worry about it. the several times I’ve been on megabus I’ve never encountered a problem (a couple times I was carrying 2 suitcases - 1 large & 1 medium, plus 2 small carry ons).

Drivers don’t really care.

Shravas… How did this turn out? I’m having the same dilemma

Yea, it wasn’t a problem at all, and I ended up doing this multiple times after. Worst case scenario, you can always ask someone with no luggage to pretend your second bag is theirs.
