<p>I was wondering if colleges held visits over memorial day and if students would still be around, since I know that many schools are done now. I was thinking about visits, but my parents think that the schools would be closed for the holiday…</p>

<p>My d has arranged a visit at Carleton on Memorial Day - they will be holding classes that day.</p>
<p>very few schools are still in session - would imagine most admissions offices are closed as well - even adcoms need a 3-day weekend!</p>
<p>Very few colleges have classes that late, and even if they do, they’ll be finishing up… not a great time to go.
Memorial Day weekend is also a frequent time for alumni reunions, so be sure to check with the school to see if they’ll even be open to “outsiders”.</p>
