Men (especially younger men) increasingly seek testosterone replacement therapy

I used to know someone who had gotten a full ride through university as a football lineman. He went to a pro football training camp after university but was cut before the regular season started, and ended up getting a more normal job and career.

At one point we asked him whether he had ever taken performance enhancing drugs as a football player. He said “we all did”.

However, that was as a football player who took the sport seriously. It is bad enough that football players did this. For a normal person without any athletic ambitions, this is sad.

There are of course potential serious negative side effects.

However, this is more sad than it is surprising. There are plenty of stars who look like they may have taken performance enhancing drugs, and young people are influenced by this.
