Not relevant. She got drunk. He took advantage of the situation. He violated the University conduct standards. He got burnt. Case Closed. They both made bad decisions, but his decisions violated her and the conduct standards.

Say that he is guilty of diddling her in the morning against her will and stop referring to feeding drinks and the related nonsense about what is sleazy behavior and who is a jerk who didn’t protect the chastity of a religious woman. Then teach women that when someone diddles without consent women should just stand up and leave. There was no evidence of force being used. Reality is she thought he would love her forever and marry her and make babies with her and play house while they were at it. That’s why she kept having sex with him. She accused him of having sex with her without her consent the night before, of diddling her in the morning without her consent, and of retaliating. He was found responsible for only the second of these, but she explicitly denies consenting to the sex the night before.
Look guys, I understand why some people like the kangaroo court that are college tribunals. Rape is notoriously difficult to prove in a court of law. So rapists get away. So the OCR sets up a kangaroo court where there is presumption of guilt. Now just as rape is notoriously difficult to prove, proving that rape didn’t occur is also notoriously difficult to prove. So presumption of guilt means anyone can accuse and ruin another person’s life. This will for sure get more rapists punished but there will be huge collateral damage. Those that support OCR believe that it is acceptable collateral damage as otherwise rapists get away which is another form of collateral damage if we use the criminal court proceedings.
Why not just say it instead of all the nonsensical arguments to support the OCR?
Cardinal Fang, If you are going to be in this conversation then you need to start sticking to facts. He was drunk as was she. He didn’t use force. She didn’t use force. This is consent but read below if you disagree. So they raped each other.
She can’t claim that he raped him because she was drunk while not conceding that by the same logic she raped him as he was drunk too. Only those who believe in double standards for men and women can claim that. Only sexists have double standards for men and women. Is the OCR sexist? Are you sexist? If not both OCR and you should agree that she raped him too.
Seems to me that your issue is with the University not with posters on this board. You disagree that what he did was actionable. Well the University says it is a violation of it’s conduct code and acted accordingly. You do not like the rule. We can’t help you with that here.
She decided to do more than just “stand up and leave” and under the Univeristy’s code which was entitled to do so.
I have no issue with the University or the people on this board. I am merely stating what I believe any sane non-sexist human being who does not think of women as infants would expect as behavior in this and similar situations.
