S (the one away at school) is having a birthday next week and one item on his wish list is cologne.
I haven’t paid much attention to which perfumes are popular for many years, since H doesn’t wear it and my sons have not been interested in it. Stepson was into that stuff, but that was several years ago and he doesn’t wear it any longer either.

So…
which fragrances are popular with 18-22 year-old guys?

oh mgodwhich fragrances are popular with 18-22 year-old guys?

I know but I am not going to tell because there is too much air pollution already.

Cologne is a bad idea for anyone IMO but especially men.
I like scented soaps- but you really shouldn’t be able to smell people until your nose is on their skin ;)

I do wear perfume ever once in a while, it makes me feel dressed up, but since so many people have sensitivities, I don’t buy it for myself- but use a few squirts of Ds.-
or else aromatic oils I put on the back of my neck and wrists that I sniff to relax.

( I do admit that I had a high school boyfriend that used Brut-and my H used to wear Paco Rabanne- kinda strong though)

I doubt he would bathe in it, as he’s heard me whine about other people using too much throughout his life
I can’t wear any fragrances because of the line of work I’m in. So I don’t keep up with which ones are popular nowadays.

but thanks for the ideas and good point about reminding him to use it very lightly.

If you have a Sephora go in and ask one of the young salepeople to help you. That is what we did last year. They are pretty good at knowing what sells to each age group. Can’t remember what we bought but I think it was by some rapper. It actually smelled nice.

My D likes the Abercrombie colognes for men too. She just turned 18 though so her tastes may be on the juvenile end of the spectrum. I am very sensitive to all colognes so I can’t even go in the store so I can’t give my review.

While I really hate the scent on “men’s cologne” and I’m not really big on women’s scent either, I will point out that everyone’s personal chemistry is different and that scents that work on one person are often awful on someone else. It’s really worthwhile to try a few that you think you might like, wait an hour or two, and then re-sniff.

Me, I like the smell of Dr. Broner’s peppermint soap.
