Mentioned a club in my supplement but the club doesn't exist anymore?

I spent a lot of time on this college’s supplemental essay (not gonna put the name of the college but its an ivy league school) and i mentioned two clubs that i am interested in participating in. I had my guidance counselor and english teacher look over the supplement, and both said that is was perfect. However, I just looked at the club directory that i used to find these two clubs, and realized that the date is 2003. These clubs don’t even exist anymore. Will the admissions committee realize that these clubs don’t exist anymore and automatically reject me? This is my top choice school and i really hope i won’t get rejected simply because of this one mistake.

I doubt that it will warrant an automatic rejection, but yes, they probably realize the club no longer exists.

I’m not so sure they’d know. A school will have hundreds of clubs, some big but most small. I think you should be okay as long as you didn’t base your whole essay around joining this club.
