<p>Is mburg popular? I only heard a few people talking about this school compared to DA, Choate, Loomis, Exeter, Andover… etc…</p>
<p>The fact is that CC’s Prep School Admissions forum is the home of prep school hype. It’s rare that schools other than the “super popular” ones are brought up, though it does happen occasionally. That’s definitely not to say that other schools aren’t as good or as popular, but threads here about smaller, lesser-known schools are few and far-between, unfortunately.</p>
<p>My stepfather attended Mercersburg as did one of my step-brothers. Both loved it. It’s a great school.</p>
<p>There are a couple Mercersburg parents on this board. Search for their threads or posts. You may find them helpful. The school itself is less prestigious or well-known as the other ones you listed out. It’s supposed to be less selective too. According to the Peterson’s, its acceptance rate is 44%. You may have a better chance getting in.</p>
