Merged: Reapplying after widespread rejection

Will the school to which you deferred admission even allow you to reapply elsewhere?

It doesn’t seem like there is much than can change in the next 6 months that would materially impact your second round of applications, especially to schools that denied you admission this round. I agree with the others to move on, have a great GAP year and embrace the college you will be attending.

If you have been planning on a gap year all along, then do the gap year. Chances are you are feeling pretty burnt out by this point.

You have an acceptance in the bag. You have time to think through the possibilities. Most students who reapply to the same list do not see any changes in their results. Some do. Many students use part of their gap time to reflect on their goals and develop a new list entirely. That could be your best option of all.
