merit aid at urban school

<p>my son insists on going to an urban school in large city, as a parent i have no problem with his choice other than the fact that he will need as much merit aid as possible. any ideas</p>

<p>gpa - 92.5
act - 31
sat - 1280(did not study is taking again in oct.)
class rank 49/405</p>

<p>attends very well respected private school with college based curriculum</p>

<p>captain debate team(nys public forum champion)
secretary economics club
social studies club
computer tech club</p>

<p>p/t employment at garden center</p>

<p>any ideas would help

<p>Are you looking for merit aid that is automatic? or merit aid that is very competitive? (Frankly, I hated all the jumping-thru-hoops for “competitive merit awards”…too many essays and interviews for the slight chance of an award. I like automatic awards…you got the stats, then you get the award!).</p>
