merit aid question

I’m a junior in high school and recently found a merit scholarship estimator from Pace University, which estimated that I would get about $25,000 in merit aid from Pace based on my SAT and ACT scores and my GPA. I was wondering if anyone knew of other schools that had a similar way to predict merit aid or how I can estimate what I would receive from other schools.

The Net Price Calculator for many schools include merit aid. You have to look at the end result to see if what they offer is need-based or merit=based.

What are your stats?

Is that award assured?

25k per year may sound like a lot, but you’ll still have a large bill to pay. Ask your parents how much they will pay each year.

There are some colleges which break down merit aid simply, using charts based on GPA & SAT/ACT. They are usually under “Freshman Scholarsips” in their web sites. Here are some examples:

Note that some (e.g., Florida State &, Texas Tech) might involve charging you at the in-state tuition rate & might throw in some extra $ as well.

Also be aware that the size of the scholarship alone isn’t important, it’s the list price of the school MINUS the scholarship…some schools will make a big deal out of giving you a $15k scholarship, but their tuition might be $40k per yr., so u still end up paying $25k plus your other expenses.
