I’ve heard it’s possible to get fee waivers on applications to colleges based on test scores, grades, etc. Does anyone have any experience with this? How do you go about getting a fee waived for merit?

Generally, those are offers made by e-mail for “priority” applications to individual schools. Otherwise, schools list them on their websites.

I don’t think they are available by student request.

a lot of priority app invitations go to people who express a strong interest in a school before the application season begins. sending your test scores junior year is one way to get on a priority app list.
