<p>If you get a $4,240 National Scholars Award ($16,960 over four years), and then later got an Old Gold or a Presidential, would these be added to the first scholarship? Or would they be awarded in place of the National Scholars Award? What percent of applicants receive the National Scholars Award?</p>
<p>I am guessing the two scholarships would be added together, but it is purely a guess! I strongly suggest that you contact the Iowa admissions and financial aid departments. I have always found that the administrative teams at Iowa answer their phones most of the time, and if they do not, they return voicemail and email messages promptly, courteously and professionally. </p>
<p>They may also able be able to tell you how many National Scholar awards are given each year – not sure if they share that information. </p>
