When my D still lived at home she needed her black suit (skirt/jacket) for a conference and could not find it anywhere. She said she looked everywhere in her room, and I checked in all the unlikely places in the rest of the house. We decided we must not have ever got back from the dry cleaner, after we had taken it in and forgotten it there.

I proceded to accuse the cleaners of losing it, and they searched everywhere for it. Days later I decided to tear into the mess in D’s room and found a full garment bag in a heap on the floor at the foot of her bed under her comforter and other junk. I had to call the dry cleaner and apologize. Not a happy mom.

notre dame AL, it seems they aired a show on domestic violence in light of what was happening in the Rihanna case on the originally scheduled day, definately more important than messy people!

Gonna bring a little handheld tv to work to see if I can catch it. Thank heavens they delayed the converstion to digital TV or this plan wouldnt work!

We threatened our D when she was in high school that she would have to clean up her act when she got to college and got a roommate. Turns out that her roommate and she were two peas in a pod when it came to keeping the dorm room clean! Curse you college roommate selection committee!!

I haven’t seen her in quite a few years jym626, she looks the same, just older. As it turns out, one of the three frat boys graduated from D’s HS the year before her, D had briefly dated his best friend. I’m not sure if she was excited or horrified that she would know TWO of the messy GT kids!

They need to do a surprise check on them around the beginning of May.

I am not sure I would have recognized her right off, GA2012mom, though I did last see her at graduation in '08. Thats funny about the frat boys!! I dont think DS knew them, but he has several friends at Tech so they probably have mutual friends. I cant believe tghe clean squad woke the frat boys up at 6 am! I would have wondered what they might have walked into!?!?!?!

Where are you watching the replay of the show, BB?? I thought Oprah shows weren’t available to watch on her website or on zulu. Is this totally wrong?

Good show–wish more incoming freshman could see it as it offered some valuable tips for living in small space. I think many kids just don’t know what to do w/a room that is so small and yet has to accommodate 2-3 people.
