<p>This will only apply to people living in the Atlanta area. I currently have a Metro PCS phone and I was wondering if I would have to buy a new cell phone once I get to UGA. I know they say that Metro goes to Athens but is the signal really bad out there.</p>
<p>Yeah Metro is bad here in Woodstock. So its probably worse in Athens. My dad had it and the signal was not good at all. I would suggest getting another phone.</p>
<p>I know someone who had to switch because Metro does not have the needed signal anywhere in Athens.</p>
<p>My friend uses hers with no problem.</p>
<p>i think my friends phone was older so that might be the issue.</p>
