Toronto has huge reputation around the world, but if u are going to work in the Midwest Miami would be good. Also, Toronto is quite urban, whereas MU is in a nice small town. Miami’s campus is incredibly beautiful. Torontos has some nice buildings but isn’t beautiful by any definition.

If you are a US citizen, and would be happy to start your career in the US, Miami would be a perfectly fine choice.
If you are not a US citizen, go to U of T. Canada has more flexible work permission for students while they are studying, and friendlier policies for international graduates who want to stay in Canada to work after they graduate. In the US your employment would be governed by the policies on CPT and OPT, and you would be expected to leave as soon as the OPT expires.
If you’re international and don’t mind the huge lecture classes at UT, go there. As happymomeof1 said, the difficulty in getting a work visa in the US even for a highly qualified student can’t be overstated. In Canada, they’ll be very glad to have you stay and contribute to the economy.
