<p>Anyone read “Making the Most of College” by Harvard prof, Richard Light?
How about “Don’t Tell Me What to Do. Send Money.” by Helen Johnson & Christine Schelhas-Miller?</p>

<p>Miami sent out an e-mail message yesterday recommending it to all the parents of applicants, along with a message saying all application materials have been received and we have to wait until Feb. for the decision.</p>

<p>“Making the Most of College” was recommended to me about six years ago when it was written up in a Harvard publication. I’ve given it to my kids to read but I think they put it back on my book shelf. My brother-in-law, who is one of the smartest people we know, gave a copy to my son#2 who went to college nearby.</p>
