I would think he would be admitted anyway. I can’t say for sure but that seems like thats how it works most places.
0MG my DD just got DEFERRED in state, 4.4 gpa 30 ACT. WTH!?!?!? Business. Lots of ECs/leadership. What is going on?!?!
Stats?
That is bizarre! I’m so sorry.
What??? That seems very odd! It MUST be yield protection. I’m sorry. How frustrating.
4.0/4.27 test optional. All honors and 10APs. He competes at a national level in his sport and has decent ECs but I wouldn’t say spectacular because he’s busy with his sport.
My son got deferred too from top private high school. 4.0/UW; 1480 SAT, all honors and AP’s, captain of soccer team, all Ohio soccer, tons of leadership and strong EC’s, lots other regional and national awards. Many of his classmates also got deferred with high stats while a few classmates with average stats got in. Sort of strange but maybe it is yield protection or just a weird admissions year?! Who knows!
Son accepted as Biology major. RedHawk Excellence scholarship 21k and being considered for Honors College and Presidential Fellows. He’s “actually excited about this one.” Guess we need to plan a trip to Ohio.
Daughter received 19k with honors college. 3.98 GPA, 1,360 SAT.
Are they mostly Farmer applicants?
Mine is an OOS International Studies major. May change that though. But that’s how he applied.
OOS Nursing direct admit. $19K scholarship. being considered for honors and presidential
Accepted OOS, Jesuit School, Son with 3.25 GPA, test optional, Exploratory no direct admit to Farmer.
Accepted OOS Direct nursing
Private college prep hs, high rigor
3.6 gpa, school weights Honors 3% and AP 5%
1290 SAT submitted
4 year fall and spring athlete
Volunteer at Children’s Hospital recovery center
A few clubs/leaderships
4 year summer employment at same location
$19k merit
Applied for business. Just under 4.3 weighted so wondering if her merit would increase if she hits that level.
Same here. S25’s GPA is 4.27W so he got the 19K but also direct admit to Farmers and the Honors College as well. It’s almost like they’re not connected.
Accepted OOS, 4.0, EMT, Eagle Scout, 4 year Varsity athlete with lots of volunteer work in med fields. Private college prep school with a handful of APs and many Honors classes. Biochem with premed.
Received $21,000 annual Redhawk Excellence scholarship and in contention for Honors college and Presidential Fellowship. She really wants the Honors college so we need to wait for that decision.
It’s a beautiful school!
I wonder if acceptance to the honors college or the fellowship comes with more merit. Can anybody shed light on that? My S25 is being considered for both.
OOS S25 admitted to the Farmer School of business and was selected to the Honors College. He also received the Excellence Scholarship with annual of $22,000.
D25 accepted to honors college, $21k scholarship, consideration for Presidential Fellowship.
OOS, 4.29 GPA, 1460 SAT, 10 APs (4s and 5s)
