Not for much longer, TatinG. Even before these latest allegations the guy was on track to be disbarred for commingling client funds. He also has a $4.8 M judgment against him for failing to pay a law partner.
It takes time to disbar someone… but the charge of misappropriation of client’s funds will greatly speed up the process. That - and sleeping with clients - are the two most sure-fire ways to lose a law license, according to one ethics prof I know.
And next we’ll hear that he used the misappropriated funds for his teenage daughters to get into USC…
