I feel so old now. I wonder about who will get the kids. They can’t be more than 12?

Sad. The turmoil will continue, I’m sure regarding kids, estate, debts, allegations.

Press is so all over the UCLA Medical Center the police had to make them move back so the OTHER ill people being transported via ambulance could make their way into the hospital.

He was great for the economy. He sucked money from people who wanted to hear his music and spent every last penny.

Hey, I wasn’t commenting on the quality of coverage, just that they are not focused exclusively on tracking celebrities the way TMZ is. TMZ should have these stories first if that’s all they are doing.

Listening to Butterflies. I will miss the talent.

/tears

I absolutely loved his “Thriller” album. So sad.

Terrible news. RIP Michael.

Hopefully he finds the true happiness that most apparently alluded him during his lifetime.

Hopefully, too, if he did molest children, they are able to find peace now. While the allegations were never proven, unfortunately, his behavior was similar to that of people who are convicted of child molestation. Child molesters tend to put themselves in situations in which they can be around children. Normal adults don’t have slumber parties with other peoples’ kids.

This is so shocking.

The local radio stations are playing his music. He was definitely the King of Pop. His music spans DECADES, no matter how old you are, he left an impact on all of us.

A fabulous talent. A tortured soul.

So very sad.

The most gifted entertainer I have ever seen. There was no better choreographer ever.

Prayers for his kids.

I feel like missypie. Two icons from my youth gone in the same day. I live near his ranch and knew a lot about what was going on with the trial, etc. Even with all that, I still got goosebumps when I heard of his death.
Both Farrah and Michael were so tortured in life, hopefully there is peace for them now.

Seems like Michael Jackson died so young because he kept himslf so child-like. In reality he is only slightly young to be dying, not shockingly so. A 50 year old man dying of a heart attack is not all that rare.

I don’t think most of us expect people in their 50s or 60s to die – except when, like Farrah Fawcett, they are known to be seriously ill. It’s not like Ed McMahon dying in his 80s, which is not shocking.

My 19 yr old is very shocked and upset. She sent texts to many friends when she found out. Ironically, she is more upset than me.

He touched many generations w/ his talent.

Not saying he did not have flaws.

I think that many of us don’t expect people in their 50s to die because we’re in our 50s and like to think we’re invincible. Truth is that many people our age die including of things like heart attacks and strokes. I know a young woman who lost both of her parents within a few months when she was a college freshman . Her dad died in his sleep of a heart attack. Her mom died at her office job of a stroke. Both were in their 50s.

I’m 16 and I’m shocked out of my mind. He is one of the best entertainers of all time.

Tim Russert was 58. People are certainly shocked, but my point is they shouldn’t be quite so shocked as they are. Look at nation-wide heart attack stats and you’ll see that it’s in their 50s or even late 40s that men start having heart attacks. They are more common in older guys but not extremely rare by any means in guys around age 50.
