Can you believe that? 50 years old!

I’m strangely upset. Two icons of my youth gone in one afternoon.

Michael Jackson was a great talent. Possibly one of the most creative entertainers of all time. It was unfortunate that he had issues and that he is dead so young. I hope that his children will have some strong family support.

I cannot believe how shocked I feel. I gasped when I saw the news.

Right now, CNN is just saying he is hospitalized… unless TMZ knows something CNN doesn’t know.

LA news is reporting that he has died. I hope they are wrong.

BBC is reporting his unconfirmed death.

TMZ could have a bad source. It is internet news after all. That being said, I would tend to think TMZ would be far more on top of this than CNN.

CNN is reporting he is in a coma (and claiming multiple sources). Did TMZ just report that he was dead to get internet hits, or is this shoddy reporting by CNN? We shall see.

CNN just confirmed it also.

edit: not confirmed, just reporting the LA times and CBS news confirmations

MSNBC is citing The LA Times and reporting he is indeed dead.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31552029/ns/entertainment-music/

So, it appears that CNN once again did a shoddy reporting job. TMZ > CNN. Wow! CNN reported he was in a coma (with multiple sources) and then within 5 minutes reported that others are reporting he is dead.

Hate to be the people/entities he owes money to.

Hate to be the O2 Arena booked for 50 nights for him in the next 6 months.

I heard his family was all called to the hospital this afternoon, and they were all there.

Well, TMZ probably has a bazillion more people on the ground in LA than CNN. No celebrity here can sneeze without them knowing it. CNN is busy covering revolutions and world events, etc.

I read that he was found dead and unable to be resuscitated.

I have tears running down my face. So much talent. Such a waste.

I was the “Michael Jackson lunchbox” generation.

Rest in peace.

CNN is hilarious. They think sending someone to Times Square in New York and putting him on national TV is good reporting.

Like CNN’s horrible Presidential election coverage. LMAO @ believing anything these bozos say. If you believe they’re coverage of Iran is truthful, then shame on you.

I still have concerns about the allegations that he molested children. If he did so, I hope that the victims will have some sense of peace now that he’s gone.

When Michael Jackson became a star as part of the Jackson 5, he seemed like a sweet, energetic child. He became an eccentric recluse, and a poignant example of what fame can cost.
