MODERATOR NOTE AS OF OCT. 2, 7:26 PM EASTERN:
CHANGED THE THREAD TITLE TO “NOT LIABLE” AS IT PREMATURELY WAS ERRONEOUSLY STATED AS “GUILTY” BEFORE THE VERDICT WAS ANNOUNCED.

Personally, I think the person MOST responsible here was the doctor. It doesn’t matter if the patient is persistent or demands something. The doctor is the PROFESSIONAL who knows or should know the implications of such a crazy request and is bound by medical ethics and SOP to say “NO.”

Nothing would surprise me, though, in terms of verdict.

Well, I don’t think he was incompetent for the job he was hired to do. He was a licensed cardiologist and was perfectly competent to take care of MJ. He just CHOSE to submit to the demands of a star who was paying his exorbitant salary. He had never done such a thing before, AEG would have no knowledge that he would do something so outrageous.
