<p>Congrats to Rick Snyder! Not too shabby for a guy who graduated from Michigan with a degree in general studies. I guess it’s not as a bad major as the now defunct Ann Arbor News made it out to be a few years ago. </p>

<p>As one who helped vote Justin Amash into office yesterday, I can’t wait to see how he uses his home-grown U of M education to help better our country! He is seen as a bit of a rising star in the republican party.</p>

<p>I am not liberal kobudnik, nor am I conservative. I am pro death penalty and believe in very tough justice in general. On the other hand, I am socialist and I tend to have a
“live and let live” social attitude (pro-choice, pro gay marriage, anti-war etc…), but in other ways, I can be quite “conservative”.</p>
<p>Really surprised Snyder won by so much.</p>

<p>^I’m not. Michiganians have had 8 years of a Democrat for governor and were obviously unimpressed by Gov. Granholm’s work. The same thing happened in the House, (almost) the Senate, and many other levels of state government.</p>
