Michigan and meeting need

I have my EFC from my FAFSA and am interested to hear, based on experience, what Michigan does to meet need? I am guessing this could be through need based aid - grants and/or scholarships.

And, how close they come to meeting the need?

If you are from in state, they with meet the need with grant, loan, and work study even if you don’t have a scholarship. If you do get a scholarship, then you have less need and they will cut the loan and work study amount.

But don’t forget Michigan requires the CB Profile in addition to the FAFSA.
